Melbourne

Oh dear. I totally did not update anything on our Melbourne trip at all.. lol.. 1 thing I like about Melbourne is the weather of course. But well, going there in winter is fun.. I can’t imagine being there during their summer!

We were there for 8 days and yet I felt that we didn’t have enough time! hehe.. We stayed at Melbourne City and to Philip Island and Lake Mountain and then back to Melbourne City.. Dar had a super detailed and well-planned itinerary for us. =) But it was such a pity that we were not able to do the strawberry picking! =(

It was the 1st time bb went to a farm. 2 farms somemore. She got to stand at such close proximity to the sheep, cow, chicken, etc.. She even got to milk the cow! Perhaps we should have a farmstay the next time we visit Australia to see how the farmers work.

I wonder do the farms in Australia equivalent to our Singapore’s kampong? lol… But the standard is of course so different. haha.

In this trip, I think I had 3 nights of mahjong! I only had 1 session in Singapore few weeks ago after about 1.5 year. Travel size mahjong but better than nothing. =)

Food! I think the best thing I had in Australia was their oysters. I didn’t happen to have fantastic steaks, least say Chinese food. The famous Shark Fin Inn and the Old Kingdom Peking duck were over-rated. lol..

And the Lake Mountain!! No snow!! lol.. Dar still didn’t managed to fulfill his wish to see snow. BB n I on the other hand were dreading the 2.5 hours journey.. It really made my head spun with all the turnings. But the Wombat cottage we stayed was the best I felt. Cosy and not so city-like. With a garden and a view of the farm. =)

The kiddos had definitely enjoyed themselves. BB was always trying to play with Kion while Kion, rejected bb at times. I think she prefers to play with nn though. lol.. Poor girl. When I saw this, I secretly hoped nn will grow up faster so that she can keep bb company. NN ah nn, eat more, grow faster.. jiejie wants to play with you. =)
